I own 4 lever action rifles at this time. A .22 long rifle, Winchester 94 & Marlin 336 both in 30-30, and a Winchester 71 in .348. If I was going for a bear hunt I would not hesitate to take the model 71. I have not doubt that a 250 gn slug from it would knock one down. Sent from my iPhone...
