    Hunting with my .480

Killed these two fat does with my .480 SRH. One was 20 yards the other about 60 yards. Both were DRT. I used the 375gr CPB. Worked very well.

    Ella gets her pig

Thanks for posting that Guy. Ella was crushed between two trucks 5 years ago. The impact was so great that it left her imprint in the bed of one of the trucks. She was in Vanderbilt ICU for months followed by rehab in Atlanta. The doctors that treated her said she would be a vegitable. They...

    .460 21SF

I should add that I dont run it full throttle all the time. The 265grs at 1100 loaded with blue dot is very accurate, penitrates like crazy and is easy on the gun. 230grs at 1100 are real killers and dont beat up the gun. reflex264

    .460 21SF

about 2000 rounds as a .460. Gun still in good shape. I really like the Rowland kit. reflex264

    .460 21SF

1400+fps. My favorite laod is the Beartooth 265grs sized .451" over blue dot. Bad to the bone. reflex264

    Premium bullets test .458

Hello boys and girls. I have been chomping at the bits to get back to shooting the ballistic buffalo. I finally got to go back and shoot the pour thing to death. Several things need to be understood before just looking at the chart and drawing conclusions. Please read the all of the commentary...

    .416 Rigby vs .450 Marlin

It will take a while to get all the data here. It was fun. Test overview from .416 vs. .450 5/17/07 In this test I decided to use the toughest media I know of which is dry vinyl coated paper. It will generally destroy bullets and penetration is very limited. The two rifles are as different...

    .264 vs 26

The online data vs the last manual includes some of the more appropriate powders for the 130 AB but the data for the 140s is still lacking. Not to beat Nosler up but yo can see why I am a bit mistified.

    .264 vs 26

After reading the article in Shooting Times I was left scratching my head. The .264 failure was not based on fact. Gun press and a great deal of it from a man that never shot one (as he later admited) coupled with the intro of the 7 Rem Mag was a likely culprit. A deeper cause is at the root of...

    26 Nosler ?

    Exactly.

    26 Nosler ?

Yep way over 2000 shots down the tube on one of them. Need to count the other two. The barrel with 2k shots still shoots 5/8" groups. It used to shoot 1/4" and less. Not bad for a " worn barrel".

    26 Nosler ?

Actualy that one was 4 shots because I forgot to throw a 5th. :-) We have several sub 1/2 groups from the .264s. All 3 will do this. Handloaded groups from the article on the 26 don't look so hot. I can get 3400fps with 129-130 grain bullets from the 27" gun with less than max powder charges and...
