I did the same thing with my Hammer order, but Hammers work soooo much better than Barnes in smaller calibers like 22-250, 243, 25-06 and 270. Actually Barnes failure to expand in game animals in my son's 243, and my 25-06 led me to Hammers. Whatever kind of copper they use it works! Hammers...

Either of those look good, a little seating depth adjustment should tighten them right up.

Nice rifle and excellent shooting! I'm shooting Hammers in 5 different rifles now plus my sons rifle and all shoot excellent. On game performance is excellent as well, much like a Partition only lead-free. Good luck on your hunt, can't wait to see your results!

I would agree, but with Accubond and Hammer bullets, Hammers work so much better than Barnes for me.

This is a sore subject for me, as I shot my first buck, a small Colorado muley 4x4, in the early 70s with my Win. m70 30-06. But 2 years earlier I had missed a huge 5x4 muley over 30" wide with high heavy antlers. I emptied my rifle on him and he ran right to another hunter who put him down...

Have you shot any game with those Absolute Hammers yet? From my experience they act like a lead-free Partition on game, shedding the nose pedals and the shank continues on through. Nice Swede by the way!

I was 11 years old and helping my dad plant his avocado tree grove on our ranch. Plus shooting birds in our veggie garden with my 22 LR.

My Dad said the very same thing. He passed away a few years ago at the age of 93, and hunted all his life with only a 30-06. He shot everything from ground squirrels to elk with a good old 30-06.
