I have read before like I said that there's something special about their copper and they had to use almost tons of it until they actually got to the point where it will expand all the way down to like 13 1400 ft per second and be accurate as it is
I wonder if the e-tip will be affected. So far Barnes has not listed anything in this regard. That said I do know that hammer uses a specific type of copper that's got to be imported and for a lack of better terms as I understand it it's super purified to get consistent results I don't know...
So I put a bunch of bullets in my cart at Hammer bullets website. I am ready to check out after shipping and handling and all that good stuff and I look at my price and I'm a little bit shocked. I guess now they have to include this
raw material copper tariff surcharge 15%
To say that I'm...
That's a very good load also be advised that the sper 350 was originally made for the big magnums so don't expect too much expansion once the velocity decreases
Actually my friend is having the exact same issue and he's using 158 grain bullets still somewhere between 25 to 100 ft per second difference we have used leaf Factory crimp dye wedding dies RCBS dies same difference
I am having a hell of a time getting my 357's getting a good SD.
Specifically with the 125 grain bullets (XTP's). I have tries VH N110, H110/W296, Lilgun etc. Variation of over 100 fps from bullet to bullet sometimes. It is not the cylinders either.
I have tried different primers but no joy...
Got it done today! 15 years old Evelyn. 155 yards 6.5 Creed 123 ELDM at 2730 fps. My load my paint on the Savage axis. Smile speaks for itself.
Thank you all.
Last year I tried the heavy 45 ACP loading I saw in a magazine
14 gr Enforcer with a 230 was suppose to yield 1050 fps or so. I got 850 in my 5" Kimber.
Wife will not let me even bring it to the house! She hates the smell. Too bad because with her Greek cooking skills she can transform it to anything!
Anyway, have been giving them away for the last 20 years or so to disabled veterans or the less fortunate. Nothing goes to waste.
