Best way I found to remove copper from factory barrels is BoreTech Eliminator.
Run a couple wet patches thru and wait 10-15 minutes then 15-20 stroke with a bronze brush. Follow with several more wet patches and leave for a hour. Then 15-20 strokes with a bronze bush again then follow with 1...
Down here in Central WI , the 375 wouldn’t be overkill😉. I shot a lot of those 270 Speers out of my 375 Wby in the upper 2800’s with either N555 or Hybrid 100V. I haven’t used them on deer just paper and steel. For deer the Barnes 250gr TTSX would be a better choice at full speed.
I use the CEB...
It one of those powders that does well in many calibers for me. May not be the faster or most accurate , just plain reliable for me weather it’s a 204 Ruger to the 458 WM.
More of a tinkering project , load up some single round to find pressure or run out case capacity then put some on paper. These were rounds 11-16. First 7 were 45-50 grains to see where I would pressure out , done last Sunday. Yesterday 8-10 were shot to warm the barrel.
I now know these will...
A lot of my Wby cartridges don’t have much published load data out there for bullets I shoot. This is where QL is handy , it gets me an idea where to start and work up.
Today got around to shoot some of those in my S2 Vanguard. I’m using American Reloading MP-521 powder , sold as BL-C2 equivalent. This stuff has given me good ES in every cartridge I’ve tried it in. Overall I’m satisfied in the outcome on a small work up.

Just trying to wrap my head around this. 2 primer , 4 powders and 5 bullets all with the same results. Back when I started with my Muzzeloader I thru charges by volume and never saw that much spread.
Man I’m going to have to pass on it. I’ve stocked up on 8lbers of H4350 , Superformance , Hybrid 100V and N560 to last a long time. By the time I burn thru all of this the price might be more affordable.
