I have good luck with the 400 (.416)and 500(.458) grain Partitions. The 120(.257)grain have been challenging in 25 Creed. I have 150(.308)grain on the shelf to try someday.

The combustion process has to be as consistent as possible and result should follow.

I have 3 Savages in the safe a Striker with a 25 Creed barrel , a 112 Magnum Target in 338 Lapua extremely accurate with Nosler 300gr CC or RDF and a 110 in 458 WM. That one is getting a new barrel that’s on order.

All my 30-30 brass is Starline , no issues with it. I checked mine 2 different lots and they average between 0.008” - 0.009” thickness.

In this neck of the woods IMR 4350 has a $15 premium over H4350.

What cartridge are you working with? With 0.006-0.008” variance I would run a clean up skim pass on the necks.

I used to use the feeler gauges but got the Wheeler years ago for Christmas. I have a wedge set like that but I seem to mount my scopes too low to the base , they don’t fit in between.

Being more affordable would be a good start. When I can buy lathe turned copper solids cheaper and always available , the choice is easier for me.

I’m currently running 44grs in Peterson SRP brass with 115gr BT. This is full case , N555 was designed for the Creedmoor’s but it is sure a tight fit.

What we have on the shelf here for Viht. My son uses N140 (223 Wylde) and N160 for multiple calibers. Myself N555 , N560 (not openned) and N570.

We were chasing down an accuracy issue before sending it back to Weatherby. Yes an Accubrake does tame down the 378.

Maybe at $400-$500 , until then I’ll keep running my old Chargemaster.
