Mark, sorry to hear of your injury. Hope and pray for direction for surgery and healing. Good news about your sons. Glad for the service to the church. Much needed these days. Dan.
That LS looks good and right color as my son in law would say, he's a New Holland man who doesn't like John Deere for some reason. I wear a John Deere cap just to pick at him:D
The outdoor writer of yesteryear Ben East used a Mod 99 in 300 Savage which he wrote of it. Friend in high school had one in the 300 Savage and it did well for him. Still has it. If you like it and it fits-suits your needs get one.
With 150gr IMR4895 44-45grs Varget 46grs have used RL15 and Tac also. IMR 4064 is another old standby if you can find it. Varget is available and have used it more than the others with 165-168gr bullets.
Buying my first 9mm pistol was the result of seeing lots of brass laying on the pistol range. Started picking it up for others and realized that I need one of these. Now have 2 thinking of getting a third. Habit forming.
Good shooting Guy and even better since it is a family heirloom with lots of history. Glad the move has been good for you and your wife. Continued blessings. Dan.

Can't say I ever had any desire for a 10ga but more power to you. Same for a 3.5in 12ga. It's a 10ga load going thru a 12ga hole. 3in 12ga did fine for me for several years but whimpered out later on now using a 16ga or 20. They don't weigh as much either. For turkey hunting.
Yes, it is a 1911 Springfield Armory Ronin 5in that I mounted a red dot on it and the factory spring still in place. 3.5grs Bullseye is the lowest I had shot before and 5grs the most with a 200gr swc bullet. I was just curious how low it was possible to go. Yeah, I'd replace the spring if a real...
What is the lightest load you have used consisting of Bullseye and a 200gr SWC bullet? In the past I have always used 3.5grs but having hand issues I was wondering how low I could go and still get total function. Quick trip to the range yesterday I started with 3.4 ,3.3 then 3.2grs and all...
