Gerry I belive the Berger site calls out a 1 x 8 twist. 1 x 9may work though depending on on your elevation though. Berger has a twist calculator. A 1 x may stabilize but you BC will drop

I want to range last week. with the new 26" 1 * 8 twist barrel. I loaded 170 gr Berger in Winchester brass, WLRP, COL 3.484 Approximately .0030 off the lands. Shot my ladder using RL 26. TEMP was 48 deg F, 100% humidity, from 54.4gr to 56.9 grains .5 gr jumps. For some reason first two rounds...
Believe or not I am moving after 18 years at my present house. Close on new house the 19th of March so it's pack and get rid of all my junk before the move. Perhaps I will get a day to go to the range and shoot my next loads. We will see but I will follow up when I get the time.

Guys the 6.5 ceedmmor is a great round for what it is and from a marketing perspective hornady and others are providing a lot of selections of available ammo. A soft recoil, short action accurate round, which is very efficient. I have two remington 700's in 270 win. Another great all round...
If you use a barrel which is a polygonial barrel and not an Enfield cut rifling barrel. You can add about 50 ft per sec roughly adds 2" to your ctual barrel length

Depends on barrel length. With a 24" bolt 3,240 +/- Rule of thumb 25 fps per inch so if your looking at say a 16" 3,000 ft sec.
