Ruger Mark ll SS in 338 WM with a different trigger. Has seen the most use in the since the 90s. Shoots good and built like a tank. It's killed whitetails to bison.
Built a 6.5-06 earlier this year. Went with a 24 inch 1/8 barrel. It's a good shooter getting about 2950 fps with a 140 gr AB and a stiff load of H4831. Necking up 25-06 brass.
I bought a 329 in July. Just got back from bow hunting the Western side of the state. I carried the 329 the in a cross draw holster and never noticed it was there. I use 240s and H110 for practice and 265s and H110 for carry while hunting. As said above a nice gun to carry a lot and shoot once...
My 6.8 is also my truck gun. I epoxied a carry handle see through scope mount to the A3 handle. Them added a adjustable cheek rest stock. I also gave the A3 mounting nuts a heavy dose of lock tite. As it's not a long range rig this setup has worked well for me. I put a Vortex Viper 2-7 on it...
A 300gr bullet and H110 has been my go to heavy load for my Redhawk for a long time. Just bought a S&W 329PD looking at a 265gr bullet and H110 as a heavy load in this handgun.
