    7mm-08 Deer Loads

That’s the beauty about that little 7-08. Just about anything works damned good on deer. It is a fantastic little cartridge.

Which cartridge do you like so much, you have multiple firearms for it?

I remember that ad. I think it was a mix of deer and elk. Wished I had that. Think it was the old red and white box or something.

    Reloader 17 Available

Wow. Great score. Actually fairly reasonable I scored 8lbs a few months ago from I can’t remember where but was happy to have it. I’ve loved the stuff since Mike started using it and having so much good luck with it.

    6mm ARC

Those would work. I’m going to grab some of the 109 ELDs shortly and see what my little gun will do with them.

    6mm ARC

Man I must’ve gotten the slow stuff cause the Hornady 108’s do 2580 in my 22” Howa. They are accurate though. I’ve had no problems getting the 108’s up to 2800 using LVR with book data from Hornady though. It is a very fun little cartridge and even cooler that it barely uses 30 grains of powder...

Reloading for the Remington 760 in 270

Yeah, I use the same data as a I would for my bolt gun. My current 760 load is a leftover from a Tikka 270 I had. RL23, 150 PT for about 2900. I tried it years ago and it shot great with the Skinners on the rifle so I’ve never tried developing a specific load for it.

    Quick load 7x57 please.

17 and the 7x57 really made some great loads for my sons rifle. He still has a box of 150 BTs loaded with 17 that were 2890 last we checked them. Accurate as heck. I used 17 from 140’s to 175’s and it worked great across the board.

How often do you guys go above book max in powder?

I typically let my chronograph tell me where I’m going as far as charges. If a manual says a 95 grain bullet with H4831 will attain 2900fps then I keep adding powder till I’m around that speed as long as accuracy is there. I do note barrel length and lot to lot canisters of powders will change...

Norma vs Woodleigh vs Nosler in my 30’06 Springfield.

I had a great load with the 175 Woodleigh in my 7 Mashburn Super. I’ve used them here and there and like them. Glad they are available again.

    35 Whelen new loads

I haven’t as of yet but if CFE223 is used I’d be okay with using that data. It’s worked the same in 223, 308, and a few others. I’d love to know the real difference in them but I buy LVR quite a lot for the 223, 22 and 6 ARC, 308, 35 REM and maybe some others I’m forgetting. I’d bet a buck it’ll...

    Current Production 280AI Rifles

I’m all for 8 twist 7mms but unless you’re shooting bullets longer than the 180 ELD and similar you’ll be good with 9’s.

    7x57ai mannlicher-schoenauer

3100 is pretty similar to H4831. I think you’ll be very slow with that and probably a touch unbalanced with a 130 in that case. I’d look at 7-08 data for what they recommend for 130’s. I’d be in the 4064, 4895, SB6.5, Big Game and similar range to get what you can from that short of a barrel.

    35 Whelen VS 375 Ruger

It’s about time you got on board! 😀

    35 Whelen VS 375 Ruger

Just me, not having shot grizzlies, but I’d vote for the Whelen knowing it’ll likely hold a few more in the magazine, be a bit lighter and the “killing” difference between it and the 375 with good bullets will be nothing to mention. I’ve used the Whelen quite a lot for elk, deer and bear and...

Anyone used these out of a .22-250?

I used RL15 in a few of my old ones. Pretty similar to 2520 and 4064.

    Winchester Stabal HD

Seems about like Retumbo for me. I like the stuff. Should work great for the 270 WSM.
