    Primers, primers, primers

Yes it has been crazy. I also know that my LGS had trouble getting those products and they have tried to keep prices down when they got something. I know some have been talking advantage of the situation but some like this one have had to pay increased prices themselves just to be able to get...

    Primers, primers, primers

One store near me go a few primers Federal LRP $9.99/100. and just got a little powder. H4831SC was the only one I was even remotely interested in. and it was $45.95/lb so it and the primers both stayed there this time.

    Organizing the Loading Room...

I have the same problem. Last summer I cleaned up, put in more shelves and reorganized. Now it’s a mess again. I have a habit of doing test loads for several guns at the same time so I’ll have more than one to chronograph during a session. I tend to not clean as I go. I also tend to buy bullets...

Well this was a bit different

What did the internal damage look like? I ask because my only kill with a 300 whisper handgun and a 125 grain NBT was almost exactly as you describe from the exit wound to the distance ran, with almost no blood trail, just a couple of drops. Then when field dressing I found the top of the heart...

    Backup beam scale

I would go with the RCBS 505 (well actually I did) as a backup and to check and verify the digital results. I will say that I have the old RCBS Powder Pro digital scale and Powder Pro measure that were separate units with infrared connection. It has been very accurate and consistent for me. Part...

    Ruger No. 1S

Great looking rifle. I have always wanted a #1 but so far it is one of those wish list guns that is still on the list. Bruce

Grand Teton National Park, Sept 2021

Well I thought I had replied to this but I guess I didn't. Some really good photos Guy and a really beautiful area. We have only been once and that was about 20 years ago. (Dang has it really been that long). We stayed a Jackson Lake Lodge. That was a great trip and we really need to get back...

Dog gone, gone and done it... switched to carrying a wheel g

I have always had a thing for wheel guns. Last year I got a tuned 3" 686+ and a Wright Leather Works Marshal holster for it. It carries great and Wright holster handles the weight very well. I don't shoot it as well as I would like but that's reason enough to put some more rounds down range. Bruce

Loads that have stood the test of time

Your load would be kind of a classic load that probably many people used at one time or another. Mine would not fall into that category but early on in my Winchester featherweight 270 Winchester I started loading a 130grain Ballistic Tip over 60 grains of AA3100. I hadn't shot that gun in years...

    Supplies making a comeback ?

Any bullet 25 caliber has been rare as hens teeth lately since they are not as popular as say 6.5mm, 7mm and 30 caliber but Cabala's had 100 grain NBT in stock earlier this week. My 200 were just delivered about 10 minutes ago. Maybe we are starting to get somewhere anyway. Bruce

Juvenile Bald Eagle Leaping into Flight:

Great capture Guy. Focus looks to be spot on the eye/head. With all of the limbs nearby it would have been very easy to have missed the focus on this but you nailed it. Bruce

    Old Faithful.

I’d be curious as to how they would shoot with the factory powder but at your seating depth. What you have done is great, it just one of those inquiring minds want to know kind of thing. Tell him good luck with the elk hunt.

My reloading room is in the basement but it is a finished basement, solid poured walls and a dehumidifier running.

    primer effect

I know that they are both listed as srp magnum but it would have been nice to compare the flame photos. I guess I have to judge by the chronographed velocity.

    primer effect

Interesting but I wish they had the cci 450 to compare to the Remington 7 1/2. I’ve been using the cci in my small primer pocket 25 creedmoor. I have the Remington primers also but haven’t tried them yet.
