Got some 140 accubond yesterday. Loaded up 6 shots 3 with 40 g of varget and 3 with 40.5 of varget. Fps on the 40.5 load was 2565. This is the 20in 7mm08. Never have done a ladder test so I guees I am going to start with the 40.5 load and work up. Any advice on what to look for would be great...

140g partition 40.5 grains of imr 4895. Savage m11 trophy hunter. 20 inch barrel. Chronograph ten ft. From the muzzel. Only shot one that's all the time I had. Shot was 2693fps. This is were the load came from. Using fed 210 primers. was hoping for some more speed I am still .5 off of book...
