    30-06 and Varget QL please.

Thank you sir, much appreciated. I really want this rifle to shoot. You can see it is trying to make little groups, but something is just not quite there. I'll report back when I have had some range time and see if that change makes any difference.

    30-06 and Varget QL please.

Sorry Mike, absolutely right. Happy for you to use the 165 ballistic tip. That is the bullet I want to work so I can swap out to an accubond when or if the need arises.

    30-06 and Varget QL please.

Hi guys, I am suffering through trying to get good reloads with my 30-06 using 165 class bullets. The barrel is 26 inches long in a varmint contour. Brass is Norma. I have been trying with H4350 and the best I can get is 5 shots around an inch in size. Remington barrel and action is bedded into...

300 Rum with 200 grain Accubond Bullets

I’m at 92.5 of retumbo in Norma brass with the. 200 accubond. That is getting along at 3,080fps and is very accurate. That is one grain over max in the Nosler reloading book.

Beautiful animal. Can you share some more details on how you got him?

    280 AI Powder

Indeed welcome to the 280ai cult…I mean club 😝 I mostly shoot 150’s in mine as well and have found H4350 was excellent. If you want some good YouTube videos, check out Little Crow gun works. He has done a lot of work in the 7mm calibre and gives the old AI a fair going over.

    Another 30 Nosler Build

I really like the colours of that Boyd stock. Is she going to get a run in the field this season?

    N+1 What Caliber Next?

You need a 9.3x62. Good magazine capacity, never found an inaccurate one, not punishing recoil and always leaves a smile on my face whilst shooting one. With a 250 grain accubond they actually become a 300 yard cartridge quite comfortably.

30-06 QL Help Please and any help from the stands would be great too.

IMR 4350 is a problem, but H4350 we can get literally any time over here. Great photos and thanks for sharing. I find myself these days moving to more efficient cartridges and those that don't need muzzle brakes to tame...though I do have a soft spot for a light 300RUM I own that would be a...

    6.5x55's First Blood

Well that helps restock the freezer. Such a handy rifle in a handy cartridge. My son shoots the same rig and it has been outstanding in every way.

    Federal’s 7mm Backcountry

Looks like some gas leakage around that primer as well

    Federal’s 7mm Backcountry

Surprisingly not. It was on a tikka rifle, had only fired a handful of shots. I was expecting a catastrophic failure. Ammunition was Remington core locks so maybe a softer projectile prevented everything from coming apart. I know the gunsmith the rifle went to to be checked over and everything...

    Federal’s 7mm Backcountry

Or if someone accidentally chambers it in the wrong rifle, dumb things do happen. Someone recently fired a 308 in a 270 at our local range recently.

    2025 Hunting Season

That is a great freezer filler. You would almost think that bullet was designed for the old 8x57. You can't ask for more than that. Congrats

    Anybody looking f or a 7/08?

Well done and great work on a successful hunt. Nice way to christen a new rifle.

Elk rifle ready for next month.

A 300Rum with a fast twist is about as good as it gets. Not too much that wouldn’t get done anywhere in the world. Hope you have a great hunt.
