I overshot a bull elk a couple of years ago with a 300 yard zero, and a 300 WM, with 180 Partitions. He was standing at about 170 yards from me, and I shot over his back. I have moved my zero to 250 yards to compensate. I can back line one, past 300 if necessary.

Why buy a rifle with known problems ? It's pretty and looks to be in great shape, just like my first wife. Lots more problems surfaced as time went by.
