Hodgdon's online data center shows load data for the 140gr Hornady ELD-M bullet, but that data will work. Start on the low end and work up. https://hodgdonreloading.com/rldc/

    Presses and Impressions

I inherited a RCBS Jr from my dad, who bought it from my godfather. I still load all my rifle loads on it and can only imagine the amount of rounds that have been cranked out on it over the years. It's cool to see so many people who use/used one on the forum. I got a Hornady LNL progressive...

    Whitetail bullet options

The Partition, Accubond, Accubond LR, Ballistic Tip and Solid Base are all excellent deer bullets. All of the above, minus the Solid Base are a substantial step up from the Core-lokt. None of the Nosler bullets are too "hard" for deer, even small ones. The front core on the Partition is quite...

    .257 Roberts hunters only

With that 7.5 twist, you can shoot all the new heavy high BC 25 cal bullets and still shoot the lighter 100-120gr bullets just fine. I wish my 257 Weatherby had the fast twist.

    .257 Roberts hunters only

I have killed quite a few deer and hogs with Nosler's bullets in a 257 Roberts with a 24" barrel including the 100 & 115gr Ballistic Tip, 100 & 115gr Partition and the 110gr Accubond. My favorites are the 110gr Accubond and 100gr Partition. I've had excellent results with all of the them. My 257...

    New browning BAR Mk4

Cool looking rifles. I say go 30-06, one of my favorite calibers. The same modern powders that make the 308 better do the same in the 30-06. H4350, Reloder 17, Hunter and Staball 6.5 etc make the ol' warhorse a standout and that much better.

    Decisions...Decisions...Decisions

I love both X-Bolt 2's (and Brownings in general) & Tikka's. I have no experience with any CVA's. My X-Bolt 2 is a 7mm PRC that's been awesome and I have a Tikka Super Varmint in 6.5 PRC that's also fantastic. Both have been extremely accurate with multiple loads and have killed several deer. I...

    45 ACP Accuracy Load

I don't have a specific load but my Springfield gets fed a lot of 200gr SWC's over Titegroup and Win231/HP-38. I've used Hornady HAP, Oregon Trail and cast my own that are a copy of the famous H&G 68 mold. All have been extremely accurate with loads on the lighter side but that would function...

    30-06 & 180...

I don't think I've ever killed a thing with 180's in the 30-06. I've killed quite a few deer and hogs with 150's over the years with everything from Hornady Interlocks, Interbonds, & SST's, Core-Lokts, Federal Fusion, Winchester Power Points, Speer Hot-Cor, Barnes TSX, and Nosler BT's, AB's and...

New rifle, new (to me) cartridge… 6.5x55

Nice shooting! She's a keeper. Hopefully it'll shoot as well or better with handloads. I'm looking forward to trying some other powders in mine.

6.5 Wby RPM 140 gr Solid Base

And more choices for the consumer is a win in my book.

6.5 Wby RPM 140 gr Solid Base

    Nostalgia and price point?

6.5 Wby RPM 140 gr Solid Base

That did very well for a cup and core bullet at that velocity. How's accuracy with that load?

Powders for .38 Super and .45

Hard to beat Titegroup and Win 231/HP-38. Those are my go-to's for plinking loads in just about any pistol round.

7PRC load days for 168 ABLR

I've used H1000 and LRT in the 7mm PRC and 168gr ABLR. I got much better velocity with LRT, currently doing 2900 fps out of a 20" barrel. Works awesome on deer. You can check the 7mm bullet test forum where I recovered one from a buck.

    Varmint load in 7 PRC

I say go for it and have fun. Definitely wouldn't want to use it for any high volume shooting though. That'd be a good way to burn out a barrel & blow through reloading supplies.

    Lightest load Bullseye/200gr swc

I used to carry some 38 Spl +P Buffalo Bore 158gr LSWCHP's in my S&W 442. Good gravy they recoiled! They penetrated very well though and would be a good woods carry load.

    Damn, looking good!

    Lightest load Bullseye/200gr swc

Titegroup is an excellent powder and not case sensitive. I have used a lot of it over the years in 9, 38, 40, 44 Special & mag & 45 ACP. If you're worried about recoil because of your hand issues, you could further drop bullet weight to 185 or lighter if you could find it, reducing recoil even...
