I shoot the cva optima 26” barrel with black horn 209 powder 250 grain Barnes tipped tmz , max load of 84 grains shoots just over 2,000 fps. In 8 whipes i am cleaned . Great combo but haven’t harvested anything ye. Definitely a accurate load. Federal 209 primer.

Have a 338 win mag shoots great kills elk and deer fine. Picked up a couple 338 rum’s longer range elk medicine. My favorite 338 rum.

I used 84 grains of bh209 powder 209 primer with 250 grain Barnes tipped tmz. 26” optima produced 2050 fps. This was through a Caldwell chrono placed 15’ from bench. Powder charge was weighed on grain scal.

Left eye dominant, so natural to shoot rifles and shot guns that way. Archery I have to close my left eye to shoot my bow.I tried a left hand bow one yeah that was not pretty.

Picked up some 150 long range accubond from the pro shop, anyone have any info on this combination yet?
