    99 HH Grendel

I had reasonable results with TAC under 100 gr. Nosler Partitions though I didn’t have any of the other powders you listed. I suspect you are right on Benchmark and H335 with the 99 gr. bullet. I switched to heavier bullets so using powder other than TAC.

7mm 150 grn BT’s on close range shots

FWIW - i hunt in south west Mississippi, shots are close with brush and other cover very thick. I have successfully used a 7mm-08 loaded with 120 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips loaded to just over 3000 fps for quick one shot kills either DRT or very short death dash no more than 20 yards to kill a...

125 gr Ballistic Tip in 30-30 TC Contender?

I forgot to mention that out of the Contender it performed better than expected on the feral pigs probably due to lower muzzle velocity. If I knew I was going pig hunting I might pick a tougher or heavier bullet but he killed several with no issue as targets of opportunity while deer hunting.

125 gr Ballistic Tip in 30-30 TC Contender?

I loaded 125 gr. Ballistic Tips for a friend some years ago with a max charge of Varget using pistol data for 130 gr. bullet off Hodgdon’s website data for pistols. He killed several deer as well as feral pigs with that bullet out of his 30-30 14” Contender with no problems whatsoever. He was...

    Starline Brass

I’ve used Starline brass in 6.5 Grendel and 30-06. I liked it well enough that I bought probably a life time supply for the 6.5 Grendel.

    90gn 6.5 Grendel

A guy on 6.5 Grendel forum has had good success on feral pigs with 90 gr. TNTs. I’ve never used anything lighter than 100 gr. Partitions in my 6.5 Grendel.

Excellent price at Shooters Pro Shop on 142 gr. 6.5mm ABLR

https://www.shootersproshop.com/6-5mm-142gr-accubond-long-range-100ct-blem.html These are listed as blems but look more like an overrun with the green polymer tip instead of gray. Regardless, $55.95/100 is an excellent price for that bullet. And no, I am in no way affiliated with Nosler...

    115 PT in 25-06

B.C. doesn’t really become a significant factor until you get past 300 yard mark. Unless you anticipate your daughter shooting at that range or greater I’d load them and let her hunt and take game with them. Neither will know the difference.

Favorite bullet mfg not named Nosler and why

Sierra - great experience with their products over decades. Nosler is my favorite though I do have some Norma bullets on hand but my experience with Sierra has been good. I’ve used a few Hornady bullets but not that many though they do seem to have been best at meeting product demand through...

    The Ultimate Survival Rifle Build

FWIW - all the Tikka’s that I’ve seen have been consistently accurate without doing a darned thing to them. No tuning, just break them out of the box, get decent ammunition to feed them and they are shooters. After watching this out of half a dozen while helping friends prep for out of state...
