I added some camo material around the front of my stand. It seemed to help with the deer noticing me during bow season and the ones that did didn’t lock onto me for very long, they just head bobbed a few seconds then went back to feeding around me.
I used a Grim Reaper 3 blade expandable. Got a complete pass through and the head was fully open all the way through. I assume since the heart wasn’t pumping blood that’s the reason for the sparse blood trail. That’s the exit hole in the picture.
Shot this WV 9 point buck last night with my bow at 32 yards. Very little blood on the ground mostly just a spec here and there, had me worried. He ran about 100 yards down the mountain then slid over a small drop off. Drug him back to the top 3 foot at a time, we even slid back down a few...
I agree with WVBuckBuster on the NBT. 98% of my loads are with this bullet in a multitude of calibers. Always find a load that shoots well with minimal effort.
No way I would pay that for Black powder when I can get 3 lbs of Pyrodex for that price. I don’t mind spending a few extra minutes with a bucket of warm soapy water
Go to Hogdon’s website and look at their reloading data. Choose pistol then 35 Remington and it will give you several bullet weights and powder options. I just went there and checked it.
I have an old Lyman manual and the 35 Remington is not listed in the Contender section. It is listed in the rifle section. If the OP wants that I can take a picture and post it later.
