So I'm sitting here trying to decide what mid weight bullet to work up in my 260rem. The choices I have are 121gr Etip, 125gr Partition, 129gr ABLR, or 130gr AB. Would likely be used for deer or wolf sized game, I'm mostly leaning toward the 121s or 125s. Im saving my heavier 140& 143s for the 264.

I agree with the 129 or 130 gr recommendation; whichever your rifle prefers.
The higher BC and SD will allow for greater retained velocity and energy at longer distances for better penetration and expansion for enhanced on-game performance than the lighter weights.

I have gone this route myself with my 6.5 CM (130 gr Terminal Ascent and AccuBond), while retaining the 140 gr bullets for my 6.5x55 (AccuBond) and the 142 gr LRAB for my 6.5 PRC.
While I plan to hunt lighter big game with the CM, and save the the Swede and PRC for larger big game, I never know what I will run into while carrying the CM and may be wanting that heavier bullet and better capacity in the event of need for better on-game performance.

130 AB I would pick and the 129 ABLR is a great bullet as well.
Several months ago i bought 2 boxes of 130 AB to try in my 6.5 x 284

Patrick, I shot about 17 deer with the 260 Rem. using the 120 gr. BT. Now I have a 6.5 CM and had some good results with the 129 ABLR. For the game you plan to hunt with it, I think the 129 ABLR is the perfect bullet. Either the 125 Partition or 130 AB are great second choices.

The 129 gr ABLR would be a good choice. My wife uses this bullet in her 6.5 Creedmoor and it flat hammers deer.

I’ve been shooting a 260 rem for lots of years, while my current load is a 125 Partition and it’s a deer slaying bullet I have a bunch of 129 ABLR and 130 AB that I will try next since I have more in the shelf than the 125s. I started out with the 129 SST and while it slayed deer it was very explosive. We switched to the 129 interbond and that’s all my brother shoots. It really puts the hurt on the deer and elk. But since they have fallen by the way side I switched to Nosler bullets. You can go wrong with the 125, 129 or 130s.

Any of the bullets you mention will work quite well in your 260 Rem. You aew likely correct to focus on bullets in the 120-130 grain weight class. They are just perfect for that cartridge.

Thanks for all of the feedback! I think I will see what it will do with the 129 ABLR and go from there. the gun currently shoots eldx under .75moa but just want something a lighter and faster.
