The main problem, other than normal aging eyes, is finding a target that works for me at 100 yards.
Truth is I have good days with the eyes and bad days.
I have shot sub MOA groups at 100 yards with some of these and have repeated the results at 50 yards to ensure it is not a fluke.
Now, 50...
I do NOT like them. They definitely have a fanbase and that is ok with me. I have used them and they were....OK. I have seen inconsistencies as noted by Ernie.
Never liked the whole "1-3 inches of penetration and them grenade" philosophy. I like my bullets to stay together and I prefer...
I have a few levers that can not accommodate scopes. Open sights are the only option on these rifles. Mainly they are:
Sharps 45-70..not worried about this one too much...vernier rear/bunch of front sight inserts
Win 1886 45-90
Browning 348 Win
Win 1873 44-40
Win 1895 405 Win.
All of these...
I played with many of them. My most direct route to success was CFE223 and Ramshot TAC with the 200 gr TTSX . 61 gr TAC is good for 2850 fps and well under sub MOA
65 gr CFE 223 about 2700 + and again sub-MOA. Both are started by the WIN Large Rifle primer, but a mag cap would not hurt either.

At that price I'll wait for standard RCBS or even better Hornady dies. Besides talked to them last week about my build. I was suppose to be here a...
Glad they are fixing it. The ONLY leupolds I currently have are simple (and old) vari-x's that sit on usually lever guns (444, 307, 356, 30-30) as set it and forget it scopes. Even those might need a shot or two to settle down (AKA the Leupold wake-up call) but then I just do not mess with...
