I would band together and get some 300PRC/375Ruger blanks made by ADG or Peterson. You'd have to run through a .416 dies first but you'd get quality brass instead of cheap/weak Hornady. Or you just fireform 300PRC.
That is what I was thinking Fotis. My in-laws are Canadian but none of them consistently hunt so I can't tag along without a outfitter. The only person that does is my sister in-laws boyfriend of 13+ years and he is finally marrying my sister in-law but it's doubtful I'll be a part of the family...
It shows why he and his party lost, he didn't listen to the people. The people want cheaper prices and to be safer. Biden only cares about finishing his party's agenda at the expense of the citizens. Why do you think the rep from the USVI stood up and spoke about being non voting members. They...
High pressure equals more throat erosion as well. It might use less powder but the higher pressures will eat barrels as fast as the 28 Nosler, which is pretty fast. Steel cases in a steel barrel is a recipe for chamber damage if the cases aren't perfectly clean. There is no give like brass affords.
Stainless is better IMO. A Cerakote coating will always scratch and expose the chromoly steel underneath. 416 isn't super corrosion resistant but it's light years ahead of chromoly. Nitrided chromoly is better than either.
If you really want the color you can have the stainless Cerakoted.
When I was a kid, 40 years ago, I bought a cheap Anshutz 22LR. It was cheap compared to all the other Anshutz rifles at the time. It doesn't feed great, even after thousands of rounds through it, but it shoots just about anything amazing. I can sit down at 50yds and literally shoot out a 1" dot...
I shot that same bullet for quite a few years in my 375-358STA. Mine was running 3080fps in a 27" tube with 4350. It hammered all kinds of animals from a duiker to a kudu in Africa and antelope to elk here.
The head to the belt dimension sets the headspace. Trimming the neck wont fix that problem. It sounds like those cases have too long of headspace dimension for your rifle. Belted cases have been known to have terrible tolerances in the belts. The "premium" brass made now is much better.
Today my Draht puppy went 31 miles and I went 5 miles. I don't have a GPS collar for my lab but I bet she is half that. My youngest son and I got 4 birds and he shot a bird with a 22" tail. One of the better birds this year for planted birds. I shot a 24" a couple weeks ago.
My Drahthaar puppy probably does twice the miles my lab does. He is like a crack addict with ADHD. I talk to the owner of the brother to my dog and he tracks his dog chuckar hunting. He walked 9 miles and his Drahthaar puppy did 29 miles. That's burning tons of calories.
I've done a lot of experimenting with food recently. My Draht puppy was raised on Inushuk dog food out of Canada and when I was ordering it from Chewy both dogs seemed to do well. I reached out to the owner of my dogs brother and asked if he was interested in splitting a pallet, 65 bags. After...
I got into 2 birds this morning and my Draht jumped one early. The other one jumped when I was tangled in some trees and couldnt even get my gun up. I did get 2 yesterday though.
Have you tried going out to the Calculations page and then back into the specific calculation program to see if it will reset? Sometimes it saves info from the previous session but if that doesn't work you might try refreshing the page itself to see if it will reset. Otherwise you might have to...
All of the issues with sizing brass in the PRC chambers is using tougher brass like ADG and Lapua. The die to chamber dimensions are too close for tougher brass that springs back more coming out of the sizing die. when the brass is too close to the chamber size it doesnt spring back enough to...
