When I started the 375 H&H Mag adventure, I wanted to try the Sierra 250 gr Game King bullet but they were unavailable. Fotis mentioned to me he was about to use this bullet a couple weeks ago so I got a couple boxes.
I loaded up 4 rounds with CFE223, a load that I had used with the 250 gr TTSX. Went out to the barn and shot 3 at 100 yds. The Garmin Xero recorded and average speed of 2894.6 fps and the group measured .625". I put the 4 bullet into the jugs. Recovered in #5 but dented jug #6. The recovered bullet weights 204.5 grs and measured .790". I think I have a load for deer!
I loaded up 3 more and took a walk out back late that same afternoon. Shot a big doe at 50 yards and the impact knocked her right off her feet!
Not to shabby for a load development job, completed in one day with 5 shots.
I will play around with it a little more just because.

Thanks fellas. I'm very happy with the results.
The rifle is a Nosler M21 topped off with a Leupold VX-5HD 2-10x42mm with fire dot reticle and a CDS dial. I've shot it out to 600 yards. Hopefully it will make a trip to AK and Africa.

Sweet rifle, would love to get an M21 eventually. Did you mean 2-12? Or is it a VX-5?

4 loads for development and then a deer with the 5th. That's a great use of components and they will last a long time that way! That 250 gr Sierra looks really good, the 225 gr 358 performs very similar.

The 300gr SGK is exactly like this one . Very tough. Got it through my 378 and what newsprint at 40 yd at 3,050 ft per second and it looks exactly like this
