    S&W MP 22

My BiL bought one last year and he's very happy with it. It's been reliable and accurate. I put 50 rds through it and was impressed. The trigger is a bit rough but that's in comparison to my Volquartsen equipped Mk II. Very nice pick-up RJ!

    Your bucket list handgun?

I rarely visit an on-line auction site without typing P210 into the search field. Some day!!

    How many different handgun types?

I've carried pistols(P-239 and PM-9) since the beginning and have always had a P-220 for my bedside gun. I've always felt I shot these better than the avarage bloke. I have recently exchanged a Model 19-3 for my bedside companion. I shoot this revolver extremely well and am looking for more...

    Joined the Whelen Fraternity

Outstanding selection of cartridge and platform! Attractive too. Let's get some range results pics posted pronto!! Grab some 225gr Sierra SGKs and start getting familiar your rifle. They are cheap, shoot great and are fairly analogous (as far as velocity and pressure goes) with the 225gr PT...

    what caliber to rebarrel?

    Excellent suggestion!

    25-06 brass/bullets?

Can't argue with those results Gene! The Sierra HP's are a bit stouter than the SP varieties of same. I can't provide any suggestions as all I've used on game in .257 caliber has been 100 & 115gr BTs and 110gr AB's. The 117gr Hornady Interlocks have a good reputation.

The VM2 is the Cadillac of IWBs. You made a great choice. Enjoy!!

Need your field report for 7mm Deep Curls

That's a shame. I imagine they're making their dollars elsewhere and can't allocate the resources for a less profitable product.

    hornady sst bullets.

I would compare them to the BT. Accurate and frangible with a decent BC. I think the Interlocks are a bit stouter probably due to the lack of a wedging tip.

How much torque on Remington 700?

I've been torquing M700 actions to 45"/lbs for thirty years. Tighten back and front together till you feel light tension then torque back fastener to full torque. Finish with final torquing of front fastener.

What diff can a pressure point make? 378 at the range

Funny how I couldn't tell you how many times I've heard and read "the first thing I do is remove the pressure point". I own four Rem M700s that still have the original pressure point. All shoot MOA or better. I do own another that never shot below 2 MOA until I free-floated that barrel. Each...

    25-06 with 115 PT

Ive found IMR-7828 to always be a close second with several bullet types in the 25-06.

    270 Winchester Load and Primers

I've had best results in the .270s I've loaded using the aforementioned powders as well. H4831, IMR-4350, RL-19 & 22 have all given me excellent hunting loads. Using a 130gr bullet, 58.5gr to 60.0gr of H4831 seems to be nirvana territory in all 3 of these rifles. I've decided to use 140gr ABs in...

Nice buck with 140gr Nosler BT

Grats on the nice buck! I'm a bit surprised that the bullet lost its jacket before entering chest cavity on a broadside rib shot. I had this issue happen with the original BTs and I abandoned them. I've had a change in heart recently with the BTs beefed up jacket design but this worries me...

    Weaver Super Slam

Weaver was always known for their tough erectors and repeatable turrets back when turrets weren't so good on the middle of the road and below glass. The Super Slam that I played with seemed to be bright and sharp. Definitely an improvement on the Grand Slams I remember which weren't bad in their...

I got myself in trouble, again

Very nice pistol!! I havent shotvthe 45 version yet but the 9mm models are nice. I think you're going to love it. I'm not a Golck fan either but only because of their aesthetics, trigger and how they feel on my hand. They are great pistols otherwise. Totally reliability which is the bottom...

    Put the deposit down

My friends wife has a P238. When she bought it I was wondering, "why not the P232?". She let me shoot it and it performed flawlessly. It still does one year later. Great little gun. I still prefer the P232 both aesthetically and action-type wise but her P238 is accurate and totally reliable to...
