I bought a 338fed because I live in Calif and must use non-lead bullets. I like it because it is like a 308win/30-06 when I use 165 or 185gr TTSX bullets, except it has more frontal area. I have taken several animals with my rifle and it has worked great and less recoil than my 338win mag...
Swift bullets are great. Shoot them in my 257R, 25-06, 257W, 6.5X55,264win mag, 6.5X300W, 338Win mag. To be honest I have only used Barns
es bullets in my 7-08 and 338 Fed. Killed a bunch of game in the USA (5-6 states) and in Africa PG on 2 trips. One for 21days and another for 1 month.
Never...
they need bullet jump for accuracy. I had trouble with the Sirocco bullets and called swift. They said seat them deeper. Sure enough the shot great with a lot of jump.
I have been on this site for quite some time. I now have terminal cancer--this is not made up! I had a heart problem but they operated and now I am ok there.
I am not a scammer. I have already sold some rifles (old mil), some ammo and dies to people I know.
I have a long list of brass, bullets...
I have done a lot of work with my 257R. I prefer 120gr Swift A-Frame or Nosler PAR if you cannot find the swift bullets. Also the 80gr TTSX bullets work well. For squirrels and other small game a cup-n-core 87gr will do and be much cheaper.
