WARTHOG DOWN !!! Final half day hunt and stalked to 70 Yards and got the bigger of the two I missed yesterday. One shot and a twenty yard run and down and declared DOA.

I gave the Zeiss binoculars to Jannie, the Tracker/Skinner here at hunting camp in South Africa. If I come back over, trying for March or April, I’ll just pick up a new pair. Vince

Hunted Warthog this morning then went to a nature park.

I’m waking up at 0230 or 0300 every morning. It’s beautiful in the bush no matter what country you’re in.

Binos is a set of Minox 15 X 56 and a Zeiss 8 X 32. I used to be Zeiss only for scopes but have switched to Trijicon. Vince

This morning starts another day. Last night the plan was to go after zebra today and let the kudu settle a bit. The tracker saw two, he was in a ridge, but again couldn’t close the deal. Today we’re getting rain. Before I showed up they got 12” in two days. The crossing is going to be fun.

Saw a better one but couldn’t get a shot.

They said she was old. I can’t tell one gemsbok from another.

Missed a Gemsbok bull but did manage to take a cow. Been hunting them for three days and had about six busted stalks. There was one really skittish cow and two zebra running with the herd that kept busting us.

Why not secede from Canada and become a U.S. Territory? Just a thought.
