    Imr 7828

Yea, I found 10 lbs several years ago in a shop that was getting out of the reloading business. It was the "regular" cut but it didn't matter to me. If I remember correctly I paid 12 dollars per lb for it. I'm like you, I'm stocked for the rest of my life.

It's Guy MIners fault!! This Was at My Door Today!!

It did add a little weight, not sure how much though. Just to be honest, I dont care. I don't haul my rifles up and down mountains and trek across open tundra on my hunts. 😆

    7-08 hunting load for 2026

I used the 120 TTSX for one deer season in my 280 several years ago. They shot really well and bullet performance was outstanding. If memory serves me correctly out of the 5-6 deer killed only one went further than 40 yds. I may circle back around and give them a go in my 7-08

It's Guy MIners fault!! This Was at My Door Today!!

Yes, those Ruger American stocks leave a lot to be desired. I am really pleased with this Boyds stock. The only issue I had was with the detachable magazine well. Had to take a small flat blade screwdriver and remove a tiny bit of material. Fit's like a glove now. Yea, I started to have a...

Here's a quick photo. It has gotten too dark to take better pics. It's all mocked up. Now, take it apart to bed the lugs. Tomorrow though. lol

It's Guy MIners fault!! This Was at My Door Today!!

I really "dislike" Guy MIner, He caused me to spend a little bit of money. LOL 😁 After watching Guy install one of Boyds Heritage stock he was the reason I ordered a Prairie Hunter stock for my rifle. It's going on a Ruger American! I'll be mock fitting this stock here shortly and then bedding...

Nosler solid base 30cal 308 ,165 gr bullet. Load data recommendations ?

Im working on a load for my 308 with the 165 gr Nosler Solid Base now. I've been trying several powder and bullet combo's. Most have shot well but a couple have shot really well. There's no reason you cannot get 2700 up to near 2800 fps with the 165, of course that will depend on the length of...

Welcome to camp friend! Loads that are safe in other rifles may or may not be safe in your rifle. Start off by loading up several different powder charges and try them to see what YOUR rifle likes..

Solid Baser Boat Tail Non-Ballistic Tip

The 150 gr 7mm Ballistic Tip is one tough bullet. I have some experience with the Solid Base bullets, but I have 25 yrs or more experience with the Ballistic Tip and most of that is with the 7mm 150gr BT, so personally, I would tackle any deer species in North America with the BT. Good Luck

Solid Baser Boat Tail Non-Ballistic Tip

What caliber and velocity are you getting with these bullets? Also, what are you planning on hunting "where deeper penetration is needed"

    What do you see?

Salmon, I do believe yotes will cross with dogs but I do not believe it's as prevalent as some think. As far as the shooting and trapping of yotes. Outside of widespread poisoning, which is illegal there is no way to eliminate coyotes. They are here to stay. In my neck of the woods coyotes are...

    Oversized Bullets

Several years ago, 10-15 or better, I bought a box of Hornady 284 cal. I opened the box a few days later and something just didn't look right. I found several .264 caliber bullets. I called Big Red and told them my issue. They recalled a couple lots of bullets. They sent me two boxes of what I...

    What do you see?

We have very few yotes that would go in the 50 lbs, heck, a 35-40 lb'er is a monster here. I killed a big male 3-4 yrs ago while hunting that might have gone 35-40 lbs and I thought he was big. I thought somebody's German Shepherd had gotten loose. I shot this ol boy about 12pm. I do not "live...
