I always had good results with the few I tried. They were bonded well and usually easily accurate.

I’d almost be astounded if the 147 didn’t shoot. I haven’t found a rifle yet that bullet didn’t shoot really well in.

That thing looks great. Seems like it’ll be a great shooter as well. I bet those 143 Bondstrikes would be pretty serious.

If you don’t like the recoil of it, I’d either load some easier shooting stuff or maybe something like a 9.3x62 would be a better fit. Adding that much weight to but or about any rifle sounds like a horrible idea for balance as Don mentioned.

I sure like the looks of that myself Guy. I did similar and used an old 300 H&H barrel to make my 375. It’s plenty heavy as it is. Yours looks excellent.

I don’t think it’s affecting the action as much as we think. The case is holding the pressure as it grips chamber walls. I can’t see it being unsafe myself. And less recoil since there is less powder being burned. Just my thoughts.

It’s similar to 17 just won’t get the same top speeds. I don’t think it matters too much though, the difference from 2900 to 3000 isn’t going to change any outcome I can think of.

Sure I’d think so. I’ve used RL19 and 17 with 210 PTs and Swifts for years. The Swifts run about 2975 and PT a hair over 3k.

I’ve used it in a few 243’s. Mainly with the 95 BT and 105 HPBTs. It worked great in each case.

How do they shoot at 25 yards? Shoot into the same group?

God, I don't know if I'd even wanna wrap my head around trying to use all of the stuff I have. Luckily, unlike produce, it won't go bad.:cool:

I use a lot of scopes, from NF, Trijicon, Athlon, Arken, S&B, SWFA, Leupold, Zeiss, Signtron and probably a couple others I’m forgetting. My favorite western open country scope is my Trijicon 10 Mile 3-18. I have one on my Mashburn and one on a Montana 7 WSM. So far my favorite eastern deer...

I also have a little Kimber 338 Fed. Right now I use plain old Speer 200’s since it only been used for deer to this point but it’s a sleeper of a little cartridge. Seems easy to make good accurate ammo as well.

I wouldn’t worry a bit about 175 ABLRs on elk or even moose sized stuff. It’s been a very good hunting bullet for me and my group.

That bullet seems pretty interesting. I like the Bomdstrikes. Seem about like an Accubond from what I’ve seen.

I’ve used Grand a bit in one of my 7 WSMs and my Mashburn. Seems like a great powder so far and I was liking it enough to grab an 8lber of it after trying it. It is nice in it seems to make about the same speeds as H1000 and is less money per pound which never hurts.
