Late to the discussion - Prior to Accubond's I was using Nosler Combined Technology Ballistic Tips exclusively ... I have no issues with Accubond's & have posted several results of my experience here in the forum.... one of my last Accubond post here with pics...

Same here ... for the first few years of retirement it was had to "sleep in" to 0700 ... but I have always been a night owl & have no problem saying up to 0200-0400 & get up when I feel like it. I have run on little sleep for decades.

LOL - I remember when I was a 40 year old Elk hunter & hearing about rescues going on for a lost or injured 60 year old hunter. I would say to my self "What the heck is a 60 year old doing out in the woods" ... Well, now that I'm firmly in my mid 60's I make no mention of that anymore...

+2 on Wilson's ... carried them in my 1911 for over 3 decades with never one single solitary malfunction...NONE! They were not babied either but used like any other magazine with 1,000's rounds put through them, speed reloads dropping the mags on the range floor, drill after drill, etc. Clean...

.30 Nosler ... total weight with no ammo is 10.95 lbs. That's with the scope sun shade tube, Accuracy 1st bubble level (cant indicator), cant Adj bipod, sling, 2 round holder velcro'ed to the stock, Bradley Adj cheek rest ...

I have mine mounted on my Nosler Model 48 Long Range using a one piece base with Nightforce rings. Also using a Bradley adjustable cheekrest to get the proper cheek weld. Best real life hunting distance so far was an elk at 802 yds ... still working towards my goal of 1,000 yards...

This years Elk was taken at 802 yards with my .30 Nosler shooting 180gr AccuBond. Retained weight was 125.8gr; losing 54.2gr's somewhere...about 30% of it's weight.

Bummer - I have had the exact opposite experience with my Classic Bay 1200 Pellet Stove Insert which I bought in 2002 and is still going strong 22 years later. Of course everything needs maintenance and as expected I have replaced the igniter, fan & auger motors at least once. ...and I still can...

Congratulations on reaching 83 years old! I've been into reloading since about 16 years old & still going strong over 4 decades later. Nice looking set of manuals ... matches mine as well! No plans on selling mine but will probably pass mine down to the son-in-law or grand-kids when it's time.
