Don’t underestimate the 150bt in the 280ai. Driven at 3,000fps it is a much underrated combination. That is a bullet that hunters seem to overlook and I’m not sure why, it is lethal.

150 to 165 grains seems to be the sweet spot in the 280ai. Unless you are really going to stretch out there those bullet weights are about a perfect match to the powder capacity you have to play with. Absolutely one of my all time favourite cartridges but just don’t ask more of it than it can...

That is a proper bug zapper. The terminal damage should be emphatic. Funny how you don't hear much about Browning rifles, but they are some of the most accurate I have shot.

There really is something very nice about timber and blued barrels. There is a warmth to them that can't be matched in stainless and plastic.

Every video I have seen of the creedmore and the 7mm backcountry as said recoil is the equivalent of the “sibling” case. I honestly don’t have an answer or the experience of shooting either, just going off what the articles say. Never made sense to me but sometimes I’m not very bright either 😉

I think when they iron out the wrinkles it is massive. A 30/06 at 300 win mag velocities without the recoil is an incredible gain. I thought the peak creedmore was super clever by Federal particularly selling it at the same price as standard ammo. There are so many creedmores out there I reckon...

I was thinking H4350 which would have a similar burn rate to RL17. Can't get RL17 here right now, or if you can find it, at a price I am willing to pay for it.
