I was sorry to see that Hornady dropped their bullet offerings in .348 for Handloaders. It looks like we are down to Barnes and Swift for jacketed bullets.
I fire form for my 257 Ackley using the COW method and Bullseye powder (other powders will work). I see no reason to burn expensive rifle powder and bullets or actual loaded ammunition. It leaves the shoulders slightly rounded but you now have the Ackley case capacity and the shoulders will...
I had a M-16 extractor and a second ejector installed in my custom Remington 700 338-06 Ackley. Cases always extract and eject without hitting the scope anymore. If a new extractor is required I would go with the M-16.
Since Mr. Tubbs passed I'm not sure they are still in business. Try Ahlman's (507-685-4243), an authorized repair center. They have helped me in the past.
I've not used any VV powders so can not attest to anything. What I seem to be reading is that it is great for velocity but few of you are talking about accuracy. For me, accuracy is the deciding is the deciding factor. I will give up 50-75 fps for better accuracy.

I used 4895 years ago with 150 gr bullets in a Remington 740 in 30-06. At the time it was the only powder my 740 would reliably function with. It is still my go to powder for my M1 Garand. It isn't going to provide peak velocities but in the old semiauto it gave you functionality, which was more...
I liked IMR-4320 in the past but quit doing load development with it, since it is discontinued and I only have a small stock left. May need to play with BL-C(2) in my 338-06 Ackley just to see what it will do.
I'm getting old but I seem to remember that some years back there was an announcement that the Enduron rifle powders were being discontinued. I had bought a pound of IMR-4451 but never tried it because of that announcement. It is still setting on the shelf. Obviously that never happened but I...
