Thanks for the data Doug. I ended up going a slightly different path and bought an older Steyr Mannlicher M in 6.5x55. I have always wanted one since I first laid eyes on them back in the 80's.

Thinking of picking up a Zastava M70 in 6.5 and was wondering what a good powder would be to try with 130-140gr bullets. Mostly WT deer and thinking BT's or AB.

Has anyone tried RL26 in the super 30?

Just checked the cam on the weekend, and quite the variety of game.

Got out to the range and quite impressed so far.

Rifle arrived, and I loaded up some 115BT with RL25 and 7828. Hope to get out to the range tomorrow and will post results.

Very impressive. I will give that combo a try. I did use the 115 BT a few years ago in a 25/06 and it dropped a WT very quickly.

Just wondering how RL26 would work.

Thinking of picking up a Vanguard S2 in this chambering and looking for bullet and powder suggestions. Deer will be the main quarry and maybe elk. I do have some 115 BT and thought of 110 AB and 100 TTSX.

I sure love those Ballistic Tips! Got out to the range today with my new to me Remington 783 and using H4831, those BT shot very nice. This was 59grs @100yds

Just curious, but how do 130gr or 150gr reloads shoot? I used to own a S2 in 270 and it preferred 150gr.

I would try some RL25 or RL26.
