JD338, thanks alot and you are so right. Those big bore levers can pack quite the punch and can be very underestimated. It's too bad Nosler doesn't make a BT for the 444. Would be a dandy.

Thanks guys. It currently has Skinner rear sight on it, but my eyes aren’t what they used to be and am thinking of putting a Redfield 2-7x on it. I have 300 Hornady 265gr bullets all ready and might also try some 300gr XTP.

Thanks guys. I have never been disappointed with H4831 in the 270. I was using Nosler brass as well, so all came together rather nicely.

Got out to the range with a new to me Remington SPS DM and loaded up some 130gr BT over H-4831sc. This is 59grs. Didn’t chrono it yet, but guessing 3100 or so.

Have you tried Chrome? Also, have you cleared the browser cache?

Has anyone used calls when hunting deer? Picked up a Primos Can call and was also thinking of a grunt call as well. Any suggestions?

Excuse me if this has already been answered, but just wondering if anyone uses plugs or electronic muffs when hunting? Last few years I was using smaller cartridges (25/06 and 30/06) and never used any. But this year I have a 300 Win (no brake) and am thinking maybe I should. Opinions?

Yes, tried some in 270 Win and 300 Win and wasn’t impressed. Liking Hornady brass more these days.

Tried 55gr BT over 24grs Benchmark And same bullet over 24grs H335 Rifle has a 1-9” twist.

Got out to the range and ran this load over the chrono. It shot better previously as seen on earlier target but I think it was me on the second target. Load is 180gr Horn BTSP over 73grs RL22. Average velocity was 3008fps
