I do have a Larry Willis collet die but is for the 375 H&H derived cases. The 224 is a miniature belted case.
Even with cost of the brass I lost , a custom die would be way too costly. I do have a 140pcs of good brass for this rifle now.
For me the Search function doesn’t seem to be working. The same goes for the your content search. Sure makes it hard to go back and look for older posts.
The old chamber was oversized. There was a slight bulge above the belt. I did try grinding down a shell holder and ran the case up in the die until it hit the belt. That brass will chamber with a lot of force on the bolt. Just not worth galling up the bolt lugs.
A small base die would help ...
One thing I’ve noticed wether it’s the powder or the barrel the point of impact doesn’t change much between all the bullets I’ve tried. The scope has never been adjusted between loads.
I haven’t been on GB for awhile and found it annoying now. I did get a text with code numbers and entered them. Had to reset password since it’s been some time. Then had to sign back in and get another code , wow.
TAC is a bit too fast for the 30-06. It would work with the 110gr TTSX better.
I toyed around with the 130gr TTSX in 2 30-06 rifles and never found the speed I wanted. Now move up to the 150gr TTSX and RL-17 , they together really shine in the 30-06.
