Have you ever seen this when bullet seating?
Anybody ever get a ring around the ogive of a bullet when seating on a nearly full case of powder. My Redding .223 die is doing this, but the powder load is a nearly compressed load. Just wondering if the extra resistance of the full case of powder is enough to make a ring on the jacket of the... -

Book loads for .223 Rem. using Benchmark & 50 gr.BT's
I've got a couple Nosler manuals #3 and #4, I need to update when the new one comes out! :wink: I'm thinking about loading some .223 Rem. using Benchmark powder and the 50 gr. ballistic tips. Can someone give me the Nosler book loads using these components? Thanks! -

.223 Remington, Varget, & 50-55 gr. Ballistic Tips
Gentlemen, I've got a 1-9 twist barrel on my Varminter AR. I also have a bunch of Varget and 50/55 gr. BT's left over from a previous rifle. If you had to pick a starting load for this gun using these components with the main objective being accuracy, what would you load first?
