Hey just wanted to share pics of my deer from this season. He is a 7, but decent sized for a 7. I shot him with my remington lss in 300 RUM. I reloaded the shells with nosler 180 gr accubonds, and 94g of H1000. Worked like a charm. I will get pic of the bullet that was stuck in his hide in...
Thanks lonestar that's what I needed to know. I am in oklahoma btw. Congrats on the Longhorns kick'n some usc a$$. I was rootin for them the whole time.
I am thinking about getting this gun and was wondering if the 1/14 twist is good enough for shooting varmints etc. Been reading and most people say to use 40-50g bullets will that be good enough?
Thanks,
Kyle
Pros
cons?
JD do you think the H1000 will be ok? I looked for RL25 at 2 different places and couldn't find it. Next to that H1000 was recommended. If that won't work as good I can return and get RL25.
Thanks for the replies. Remington I went ahead and got the 180 AB's I think for mainly whitetail that will be plenty of bullet? I also got the H1000 powder and will probably try 96 grains like it says on the can.
How does that all sound?
Hey JD where do you get the hart barrel if I did decide to do that? It is a 300 RUM with 26" barrel and muzzel brake. I love it. It doesn't shoot the best atm, but that's probably a little me and alot the factory remington loads I have been shooting. I was thinking about loading some 180gr...
Found a stainless fluted sendero barrel and was thinking about putting it on my 700 lss, but want to make sure it's possible first? I figure there will have to bee some stock work done, but my stock is laminated and didn't know how that would work? Would it be worth the money?
Thanks,
Kyle
I am wanting to reload some hunting loads for my 300 rum and was wanting to use the accubond 150g. I will be shooting whitetail and hopefully elk in the next year or so. What would be a good powder and amount of powder to use for this type load? Anything I need to know tell me about it...
