I once fired some Match factory Federal ammo, saved them for reloading for the first time and found that half of the batch had loose primer pockets after the 2nd firing. Never went back to Federal brass for this reason. Stuck with quality brass like Lapua, Norma and Nosler, its all I use. The...
Hi Guy, finally I was able to get out and shoot the .38 Super. Distance was 15 yards with my palms resting on the tailgate in the closed position, trying to keep the cases in the bed without searching for them in the grass. Power Pistol from 6.6 to 7.7 in .2 grain increments for 4 rounds each...
It's possible that you should be fine with a 200 grain in the 1:11 twist, you should be close to the end of the stability threshold. I use a 1:10 twist on mine and it loves the 180 grain AB / BT. Put them on paper and see what it tells you. Keep us posted.
I love the 6 speed Allison on my diesel 2009 HD2500, its a beast. It never downshifts from 6th gear while towing my RV up a bridge or into heavy headwind while cruising 70, it has awesome torque. That never happens with gas HD2500 with their 4 speed transmissions, always downshifts to 3rd...
I was thinking whether to keep my 09 HD2500, since I rarely had any big issues, except replace a glow plug here and there which I do myself after a computer scan for plug #, cracks on the top dash due to the heat, door lock actuators in the back works mostly, but sometimes won't work, and starts...
I want to trade in my crew cab 09 Silverado HD2500 since I don't haul RV's or trailers anymore. I just pull a 20 foot boat to go fish.
Wondering which truck I should look into? The HD2500's heavy and are hard on bumps compared to the 1500's. I just like diesel engines due to torque and power...
Wow, that is nice. I never thought about that when I started hunting out of box blinds since I was young. It was a pain in the butt to move blinds from lease to lease until I settled on a great well managed lease that I hunted on for 15 years. My blinds was a 4 x 6 and built with half inch...
That exactly happened to me on a deer hunt when I pulled the trigger on a 10 point buck, click, then chambered again, click and once more, click. We headed back to camp and grabbed a 25-06 and went back out to see if we could find him, saw him again that evening and got him. It was about 30...
Got my 6 BR bolt back, actually I had removed the ejector several weeks ago, it would ding the case mouths but not anymore. I was not aware that the left and right bolt extractor did not matter if the ejector was removed. If the ejector was in, the it will need the right bolt extractor. I have...
I used to use the Strelok app, and its OK for me out to about 700 yards when I used it many years ago, with little adjustments needed to get good POI. I purchased a Kestrel 5700 a couple years back and it helps tremendously. I use G7 in it and putting accurate details about your bullet, scope...
