I like your way of thinking, I could try it, but I don't have the die with me yet, until I get the results back from Short Action on the die.

60 shots per match, i only have enough for one last match. I won't keep buying new brass just to shoot matches, I need to find a fix to the problem. Even my gunsmith suspects that the issue is the die.

By the way, I forgot to include in my post that the virgin brass that was fired on my last test had no carbon, on that brass it was never annealed and I sized it and fired it two more times, it still had carbon. So annealing had nothing to do with it.

I have nothing but Nightforce ATACR's on my rifles, ranging from 6 Dasher, 6.5 Creed, 6.5 x 284, .308, 300 Win Mag, even on my .22 Voodoo. A bit heavy, but i like em. Reticles are nice too.

I have two Kimbers that I like to check for spring poundage? I may have swapped different poundage springs 15 odd years ago, and i havent been using the Kimbers at all. It's been in the case ever since and I want to determine what poundage the springs are? How do I verify this?

I use Kroil on rags to wipe carbon off the cases before annealing / sizing. My hands would stink of Kroil after washing my hands as well. I could try to wear a pair of gloves next time when using it.

I love the 168 BT for my .308, but was not able to find any for years. I currently have the 165 BT as a replacement. The 168 shoots a little tighter than the 165's. Good job on the woodchucks.
