    My Current Dilemma

While I am completely on board with buying more firearms, if the senate holds it will be impossible to pass anything significant. If the senate doesn’t hold anything regarding bolt/lever/pump action will probably never pass. Black rifles it’s possible, so if you want hunting type guns I...

    Remington Bankrupt!?!

https://wibx950.com/what-does-remington ... ring-guns/ It says they are an experienced firearm manufacturer, so I’m thinking good things are coming. Hopefully they start a new serial number series so we know which ones to avoid haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Remington Bankrupt!?!

I think you are right, I think vista got the ammo, Roundhill bought the firearms. I hope they start fixing the problems. They have an excellent foundation, just need stricter QA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, vista outdoors bought the firearms section. They say they want to go back to quality firearms. Hopefully this ends up as a good thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    338 Federal

Ruger also makes a 338 Federal. I bought one 2 years ago, very impressive round. Very accurate rifle. I’ve contemplated rebarreling a M700 in this caliber as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Looking for pet loads for 300 WSM.I’m shooting a model 70 30

W760 has been the easier for my in 300wsm and 325wsm to find good loads with 180’s. I was mid range in the nosler book, don’t have the data where I’m at now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Close Encounter With a Family of Grizzlies

That is cool! We were camping in Chitna Alaska after a day of dip netting. We decided we were to tired to drive back home, so just slept in the truck. This area is covered in bears due to the salmon carcasses and the run. About midnight I hear a steam engine, look out the window and there’s...

    Dang!

Man I hope so, I’ve been using AmmoSeek app looking for small rifle primers every day, driving through Canada sure put me short of a few things. Only allowed 8kg powder, so I got rid of a ton of Varget, RL15, cause it’s everywhere and easy to find hahaha oops It’s gonna be tight either way...

    6.5 SAUM whitetail

I do have some of those, some 180/200 .30’s. They seem pretty good, some guys call them Accubombs but I haven’t had that happen yet, but I also run them heavy as possible in 308 and WSM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    6.5 SAUM whitetail

DrMike knows way more than me, so I will defer to him on the BT, I’ve gotten to the point I lump most tipped bullets together. A-max, SST, LRAB, Berger are the main ones I have seen blow up, I wish I had the pictures of them, a max on bear, SST on deer, LRAB on goat. I just gave up, and now...

    6.5 SAUM whitetail

I shot some of the fancy 140’s out of a 26 Nos, know 2 people that shot them with slower Creedmoor. Blow ups happened to all 3 of us. Now if you hit perfectly in the ribs every time, better chance of not happening. Both these guys almost lost dall sheep over them, I almost lost a goat on...

    Which rifles this season?

Well we are headed to the family farm in NW Missouri next weekend for deer season. I’m taking the 26 Nos for a long shot across a field, taking the 6.5 CM for when my boy is along with me, the muzzle blast off the 26 is ungodly. We will have ear protection but it’s still loud Sent from my...

    hunting ammo stock piling?

I do it a bit different, once I find a good load I’ll load up 100-200, be done with it for 5+ years. I do most of my shooting with a 223 so load lots of them at once, same scope as hunting rifle. Don’t load for handgun, as I don’t shoot them a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Montana opening Morning

We used to live up by Eureka, we would not hit hunting hard until the last week of season and then there was usually decent snow. This is a bit early, gonna be a surprise for all the folks new to Montana Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Let's buy the perfect out west gun.

No need to over think it, anything from a 6.5, 7mm-08, 308, 30-06, 270, etc out to about 400 the performance and drop are very close. The more important thing IMO is the right bullet for the right game. I have friends whose kids have killed multiple AK moose with a 243 and 100gr partitions, do...
