Yes it is the same road, I ran the opposite direction, hit Ennis first continued south to West Yellowstone, then north past Big Sky and home, was probably a 6 hour trip with stops along the way
The wife and I got out for a nice Sunday drive today, it was a 200mi loop, I wanted to check out the Madison Valley which is a big winter range around here and see how some the big game animals handled the winter. We were able to see some antelope was hoping to see a few more bucks, whitetail...
When my daughter was first using the 260 i loaded some reduced loads with h4895 and hornady 129gr interlock, they shot very well. Rifle was a ruger m77mkii that i cut the barrel down, i think 17in, and put in a ruger compact stock. With the lower velocities i wouldn't spend the extra on an...
Specificly for hunting, What do you have? What do you like, what have you learned? What do you ultimately use?
I think this evolves with everyone and depends on hunting style, location, and game, I know it has for me.
I will start by where and what I hunt, most all of my hunting is in Montana...

I had it on a predator in 260, now its on the 556 ranch
Couple old pics, I did make my own trigger guard
If you...
Well if you are worried about protection from coyotes I would assume it is close range and a 22 mag would be fine. But my guess is they will turn and run the other direction before its out of the holster, like Paul said.

I have a pocket full bonus money but still enough will power not to go the a local gun show over the weekend, figured i wouldn't find anything i needed but plenty i would want. Some new optics are tempting me.
