Speaking off 45/70 bullets did you see the price of the Nosler Ballistic Silvertips. They are around $50 a box now. Glad I bought those factory seconds back around 2017 for under $20.
My Ruger 1 is fun to shoot with the max loads. That was with the Nosler ballistic silver tips soon I'll have to shoot my test Hornady 350 grain rounds, that should increase recoil a little.
Seems hot for a lever gun here is and old booklet I had with recipes.
1st pic is trapdoor
2nd pic is the booklet
3rd pick is Ruger 1.
There was no recipe for lever action and a 350 grain bullet but you should be able to load at lower powder level 45/70 has a pretty wide range from soft to...
I just got another email from them now their cutting edge bullets are 15 percent off. I am set with Nosler and Norma as my go to bullets so no need to start a whole new direction.
I believe some here do use cutting edge so this might be a deal I don't follow the bullet line at all.
The code is...

Norma doesn't charge HAZMAT at least not in the past so if you need a 1000 it is not bad overall they are Ginex primers I have never...
I got a new coupon code today now the Oryx and Tipstrike bullets are 20% off making for an even better deal I bought to early I guess. I will pick up some 6.5 mm Oryx though as it is hard to pass up. The Tipstrike at 20% of comes to $24 for a 100 at 2024 prices can't get much cheaper than that...
Here is the Hodgdon LT-32 recipes for a modern type level action type rifle

It doesn't want to transfer the specific load data but just pick rifle, scroll to 45/70 government lever actions, then choose powder and if you do not choose weight it will show...

$50 a lb
my local sportsman warehouse says in stock $49.99
I use paper logs books for each caliber but recently I bought a small thermal printer off of Amazon and started making detailed box labels.
Also made some ladder test rounds for my Ruger 1 I have a thermal bar sealer and plastic seal bags that I can make pockets to hold multiple sperated...
Just a memo those tipstrike bullets are smooth I have never gotten one with a cannelure as the picture shows maybe they had them when they first came out same as the Oryx I have never seen cannelures on their bullets.
I was posting in the REALLY thread about a good bullet deal well the deal is now even better. Raven Rock has the sale price on bullets and sent me a code this morning for another 10 percent off.
The 10 percent off is good on the Norma Tipstrike, Oryx and the Swiss P bullets.
10% Off Premium...
Not sure what caliber you are looking for but Norma Tipstrike is a pretty good bullet think of it like the Nosler Ballistic tip. I have shot three deer with the 170 grain out of a CZ550 and had nice blood trails and short recoveries. Stay away from bone and aim for the lung heart area otherwise...
I bought 8 lbs of Vihta N133 a few weeks ago as it was the cheapest powder for 45/70 that I found. Weird the Vihta powders used to be the most expensive.
My Marlin commemorative did that with the Buffalo Bore ammo. I bought the Marlin in 90s it was the half round half octagon barrel model and it has a 26 inch barrel so likely the Buffalo Bore which is supposed to be safe may have added pressure with the longer barrel. They likely tested their...
