Are you into PAIN!! :shock: I have a 57' Model 88 in .308 win and where it shoots great, it recoils! I have had this rifle for the better part of 30 years and will never part with it...but to reply to your question...you shouldn't have a problem, since the Model 88 is essentially a lever...

AMEN!!! I haven't been able to get any of the .260 Rem Brass. So I bought some .243 Lapua to resize.

The last brass I bought was Win 243...It sized just as easily as Rem 260 brass. + $2.00 /100 cheaper and no shipping. After sizing you just have to trim to length 2.025" to get them all even. AC

Because it is primarily a hunting rifle, my loads are near max, 41 gr. Varget with V-Max seems to give the best accuracy, 46.3 gr. H4350 with the 120 BT and 46 gr. R-19 with 129 SP. With these and my 22" barrel, shooting thru my Chrony, my loads are on average 100 fps slower than most...

I use Butch's Bore Shine to clean with, and have used mostly Hornady bullets (because of price) at the range. I have shot just enough 120 gr. BT's to work up a load and place one shot in a 8 point's neck @ 80 yards, off-hand shot in timber.

I broke the barrel in as follows: 1 shot, clean (w/ BBS) for 5 shots 5 shot groups, clean, for 5 groups But it seems that it still needs the cleaning after the 5th shot . I have only put 300 rounds thru it...do you think it may still need more time?

Let me start off by saying I LOVE the way my Ruger M77 MKII All-Weather in .260 rem shoots. I was lucky with the trigger, it is smooth with no noticable creep. I'm able to shoot .6-1.1 with any of my handloads I have tried so far. (not bad for a "bone stock" hunting rifle) My problem is...

Thanks for the links to Boses and Precision. I just found it strange that Midway has that "No Backorder" tag at the same time Cabela's is Out of Stock. It's not happened to me before...normally if one is out of stock the other has it. Thank again.

Both Cabela's and MidwayUSA are out of .260rem brass, and I need to toss half of my current brass (primer pockets are stretching). Midway's site says "Out of Stock, No Backorder". Remington's .260 brass is crap, but at least the head stamp is correct. In the short term I guess I can buy...
