    WHICH ONE?

I agree with some of the others that a 270/280 would be a great choice. The WSM and the Win Mag are extremely close. If one is to much recoil than the other will be also. Personally i have a thing for the 270 and a 140 AB, I use it for everything most of the time.

Nosler Loaded Rimfire Ammunition! New Bullets!

I'm assuming a lengthy write up of an April's Fools joke.

    Show me your Garands!!!

That was the way I got it from the CMP. looks better now that it is cleaned up and oiled. I need to get some new pics. I think that a Garand should be on everyone's list, it will be one of the last things I would ever get rid of. The CMP service grades are still available and easy to obtain...

    Montana Gunsmith Recommendations

AccuArms in Missoula has always done good work for me. Prices are a bit high and turnaround is slow. Work is good though. I'll be looking for someone else for the next job I need done. So I'm in the same boat as you.

Long range rifle help, Tikka CTR Scout or Savage LRP

This is the problem I have, I like aspects of both. I'll end up finding one of them locally and get that one probably.

Long range rifle help, Tikka CTR Scout or Savage LRP

I want to pick up a long range rifle in the near future to shoot from 300-500 on a weekly basis, with shots out to 1000 on occasion. Good odds that I will end up hunting with it also on the yearly Antelope trip. I have been looking at the Tikka CTR Scout in 308 and the Savage LRP in 260. I hand...

How to Become a Wimp In One Trade!

I'm at .240, damn 17 fireball and 4 223's kill the average. If I don't count the 41mag Marlin it would be even worse.

    Nosler custom brass seconds.

That would be great. I want to try some but if it's not weight sorted than I might as well stick with cheaper stuff and sort it myself.

    Nosler custom brass seconds.

Are the bags of brass for sale at Shootersproshop.com still held to the weight tolerances? Or am I going to get a bag of brass that the weights are all over the board from high to low. Does anybody know?

    30-06 reduced load

I just bought 500 of the 150 BT planning on getting a load set up with them in the garand. I might have to order more if the wife ends up liking how they shoot.

    30-06 reduced load

I hear what you saying, and agree that a full power load would be light years better. the Remington managed load is a 125 at ~2300fps, a 150 at the same or slightly more will be a vast improvement. It was, to my surprise, very effective at 185yds last year on the two year old mule deer she...

    30-06 reduced load

I know it's Really Slow. It's for my wife who has only been shooting rifles for a year, she is extremely recoil shy. I'll work it up as fast as I can go without her having issues with it. She would be shooting my 30-30 if she liked lever actions. I on the other hand have a real nice 300wm...

    30-06 reduced load

I need to get a reduced recoil load set up in a 30-06. Last year we used the corelokt reduced 125gr load an i would like to get a little more power than that. Would you recommend going with the 125gr or 150gr BT? I'm thinking either the 125 at 2500 or the 150 at 2300 using a light charge of...

How Many Rounds in the Rifle

For me it's as many as the gun in hand will hold, with 10 rounds in the pouch on the belt. I'd rather have way to many then one too few.

    140 AB 270 Win

Didn't get much for pictures, got on the last minute of the trip and had to get back on the road. I'll find one eventually. No bullet recovery, imagine that.
