I know this is an older thread, but I just picked one of these up this past Saturday.
A little spendier than I'd like, but it had the Lyman 54 on the bolt, is in 250 Savage, has a 4 digit serial number in the 3k's, and is in super nice condition.

Sorry to read that... Fun for sure, but rich with history and nostalgia and a sure fire varmint, predator, and whitetail harvester all day long within it's, and my eyesight's limitations, of course.

Hey all, I just recently acquired and fully restored one of these amazing levers.
The peep sight, for me anyway, is the accuracy issue in a nutshell.
My vision is such that with glasses on, I have a fantastic sight picture but the target is blurry, and without my glasses, I can see the target...
I know this is way late in the game, but if you never got rid of these, I would like to purchase them.
I'm about to handload for exactly this cartridge and all I've managed to find are 60gr soft tip.
Please let me know !
