Ram TAC and the .45-70
I found some dope on the internet using 55.0 grns ram tac and a 350 grn laser cast. Anyone here use tac in their recipes for the .45-70? -

18" barrel too short?
I really like the Marlin 1985GS lever action. I like the short 18" barrel. With reloading, could this gun be respectable out to 200 yrds? I wanna get one for Elk. -

How much increase...
in pressure does a firm crimp cause? Do I need to worry about it? I'm somewhat new to reloading and I like a firm crimp on my hunting rounds. -

Need load for 45/70 gov't
What's a good load for elk hunting? I'd like to stick with the 300 grn to scoot it as fast as possible.
