Shoulder he was running. Came off the recoil and no deer, I walked about 100 yards and found him. Solid shoulder shot. Some guys from Utah said he cartwheeled. The 300 hid that from me.
Well this season is a wrap. Elk with a 270 150g accubond, deer with a 44 mag 200 xtp from a Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter. This year was a blessing, and a picture of next years crop.
I went to the range today and got some mixed results. this was my best group so I decided to chronograph it. 2903-2888, 15fps ok. 57.5 g H4831sc? with a 150 grain Accubond? In the book is says 2905 with 55 grains of H4831? 7500 ft 29F. Ill go back and try again just to make sure the scale isn't...
I recovered 1 in a moose about 8 years ago. it was in the offside shoulder. it was a perfect mushroom. it passed though 3 feet of moose. I hit him on the last rib quartering away and it went diagonally through him.
I went to the range today and shot 57.5 and 58 grains of 4831sc. 57.5 was just about 1.2 and 58 was 1 inch with two touching. I can't remember if you measure from the inside or the outside. I am going to play with the seating depth a little and see if they close up. a little wind and snow so...
!40"s. shoot fine, I am just trying to get a 150 heavy load for elk worked up. I don't have any other 150"s would love to find some partitions but nosler seems to be on strike for the reloader.
Yes, my chronograph says about 2910 ave, no pressure signs. Nosler says 55 is max as well, lots of people shooting as much as 58? I am just trying to find something that works. I have about 1/2 pound of rl22 ill try it.
