It's actually one of my favorites. Yes the 28 nosler has a better bullet selection but recoil is much lighter in the 27 and accuracy is spot on. I have a 28 nosler as well. They both shoot extremely well but there is just some thing about the 27 that I like more.
Couldn't find a post about this. I'm having issues with nosler brass for my 27 nosler. Some cases are taking tremendous amount of pressure to seat the bullet while others in the same lot are seating just fine. I anneal after each firing. Has this been an issue?
I have watched 3 elk walk away from ttsx bullets in the last three years. Never seen an animal walk away from an accubond. I want nothing to do with barnes. Nosler has never failed me to this date. Even then barnes are overrated and over priced pennies for inconsistent accuracy and inconsistent...
It loads and works fine until you go to check out. Then when you hit submit order it says something about "contacting administrator and inform they of anything you may have done wrong". Lol
Anyone else having issues ordering from sps? Building a 27 nosler and I haven't been able to get to get the sps website to work for over a week now. My barrel is about 2 weeks out and I was hoping to have some freedom seeds to plant with the new missile launcher.
Anyone have an idea of where i could find a youth stock for a tikka t3? The rifle my i got for my wife for elk hunting has too long of length of pull for her. Thanks in advance!
I'm using magnum in my 300rum and I love it. Nosler brass rem 9.5m primers 200 AB and 96 grains of powder gives me consistent sub moa groups right at 3200 fps. It's a match made in hunting heaven
I always coat my barrels with hornady Moly paste after cleaning. Never had an issue with lead fouling and I gave not noticed anything else building up yet.
No data on the hi tek coated bullets. But I have shot a number or Moly coated pistol bullets and the "new" Moly coatings that are colored. They seem to load and shoot the same as any other bullets. I'm now shooting powder coated bullets as well. Load safely and shoot them. As for numb skulls...
I'm using hodgdon Longshot in 9mm 40sw and 45 acp. Excellent accuracy and velocity with a very manageable recoil. 9mm has been loaded with Longshot in all bullet weights. As always do a proper load work up! Each firearm, pistol or rifle is different. Safety first no exceptions. Just recently had...
Just got my xmas present for the year. Armalite AR-10T chambered in 260 rem. This rifle was built for 1000 yrd competition. Pretty stoked as this is going to be a new challenge in loading a semi auto match rifle. I'm looking at 129 ablr. It has a shillen barrel with 1:8 twist. I have RL 19 and...
What brand of brass are you using? I have seen a few federal cases that are really hard after 1 firing and need to be annealed to resize them properly.
Personally I think the 180s and the 300 win were a match made in heaven. Just my 2 cents. With your shot distance the extra velocity should help with flatter trajectory.
Of course each rifle is different. Being new to this cartridge and this type of cartridge I was curious as to what others had used for it. As for bullets I prefer accubond. Always have. In fact now that I think of it all my loads have accubond in them
