Nothing over 300 for whitetails. Does the 120 grain fly OK, stable and accurate etc.? Could you stretch the 120 grain to 350 yards on a pronghorn or go with the 140 grain? Pronghorn is just a dream hunt, but I would like to be prepared. Thanks again.
If the game was whitetail only (or possibly pronghorn) would you use the 120 grain Ballistic Tip for flatter trajectory or one of the various 140 grain offerings by Nosler? Thanks for any advice.
I have a new synthetic stocked .30-06 rifle which is going to be my rainy day gun. I live in New Brunswick which is next door to Maine and our big game is the same in size and type, white tails and eastern moose.
My question is, would you develop a 150 grain for deer and a 180 for the moose or...
I am thinking of getting one of these in .22-250 Rem. or .243 Win. This gun will strictly be for the bench at 100 to 200 yards. I have heard some negative comments about the stocks on these guns being too flexible, flimsy, etc. Any comments about this gun and my intended use? I am also thinking...
I asked on another forum and thought I would ask here as well. How does the .243 Winchester do as a target round? Lets say a heavy barreled bolt action shooting at paper at 100 yards as compared to the same thing in .22-250. Thanks for any replies or questions. Happy new year.
The velocity for this in the Nosler manual is very impressive. Has anybody tried this, any good? I was going to try H4350 and probably still will but the RL22 velocity caught my eye. If it matters this is for a new bolt action with a 24 inch barrel. Thanks for any help.
Oh how I love my Redding dies with the carbide sizing button. I have ordered them for all my Redding dies and only use the RCBS neck brush. Very smooth pulling that case back out of the die.
I had asked this before but not directly to one of the Nosler's. Nobody answered and I am still curious. Can you tell us why you choose 260 grains for the .375 Partition and Accubond as opposed to the more common 270 grain? Thanks for any help.
I have searched this site but still have a question about the 30 cal 180 grain procted point. Is it less accurate than the standard 30 cal 180 grain partition? Does the BC affect accuracy as well as trajectory or just what does BC affect? Or is it velocity? Thanks for any help.
I would like anybodys opinion encluding Nosler's if possible. I am in the midst of working up a 180 grain partition load for a 30-06. This is to be a moose load only. Well this weekend I got to reading an articale by John Barsness about how much he uses the 200 grain partition in the 06 as an...
Thank you Eagleye, this is what I needed. I have a Partition load that is compressed and I wanted to know the Accubond length before I decided if I wanted to try it.
