Have been a great fan of Nosler PT and recently AB. Inherited a bunch of older Solid Base ballistic-tips in 150, 165, and 180G. Can someone tell me the skinny on these. Deer bullet?

We are from Michigan as well. The bull was quartering to the right. He took out both lungs. We did not recover the bullet. We were a mile+ away from camp and it was getting warm. We skinned and deboned the bull for the most reasonable transport.
Reloaded 160 G Accubonds for my buddy. He killed a 6x6 bull quartering to elk with one shot at 175 yards. The bull had droped before he could rack another round. We did have to fool with this load a bit in his 7mm rem mag to get it right...accuracy and terminal came together. Glad to see...
Just finished working up a load for a friends 7 mag. Had the best groups .46" with 57G IMR 4350, new nosler brass, fed 215 primers, seated 0.009 of the lands. Good luck.
Loading some 160 grain AB in 7mm Mag for a buddy. Using the new Nosler Brass and Fed 215 Primers. Have loaded RL 22, 4831sc, and 4350. While loading the 4350 from 56 to 60 grains the gun zeroed in for a beautiful .86 4 shot group at 58 grains. I thought I found my load. Loading additional...
Thanks for the confidence boost Winnie! My 300wsm throws these like no others! Just trying to make an educated change. Partitions have been good to me...even with there limitations. NOTHING LIKE OTHER HUNTERS and espesially reloaders to help.
Hearing some great reports about Accubond in hunting situations at distance. Does anyone have personal experience with an elk at 50 yards? I know short distance rifle hunting isn't as common, however I shot my last elk at 43 yards...right place, right time. My Partitions performed flawlessly. I...

THANKS JD:
I got an opportunity to shoot IMR 4350 this weekend. Tried 56G, 58G,and 60 G loads. The gun seemed to favor 58G with a 4 shot.85" group. I tried shooting RL22 and the other above mentioned loads with eradict results. 58G of IMR 4350 is what this gun likes. Using the new Nosler Brass...
Great article by Dave Petzal in Field & stream on premium bullets anf there use. Petzal believes the new Accubonds will be the bullet of choice at Nosler. Any thoughts or comments. Interesting to see the expansion recovery bullets.

I am truly impressed with the way they shoot. I still wish I could get more info on kill shot success with game. Partitions have done the job so well for so long...it is tough to even try even though the bullets shoot well.
My gun shoots 180G PT&AB beautifully. I use my 300WSM predominently for Elk. I enjoy reloading and experimenting with different loads. That being said, how much difference have you all experienced using 200G+ bullets from a knock down standpoint.
I don't know if it is an eastern thing, but so...
