    6GT is Rocking

Custom actions with high end barrels that are heavy (mine are stiffer as well for the contour chosen, because they are short), puts a lot of things in my favor.

    6GT is Rocking

Our thoughts exactly. Plus, it was windy when Glenn did the 4 different groups. We don't even have 50 rounds through the barrel yet, and I have more brass that needs to be fired for the first time.

    6GT is Rocking

The 6GT is rocking it! PROOF 7.5T, 15.9” barrel, Holland brake, McMillan stock, Borden Alpine XP, Dell trigger. Omega Precision/Peter Angelos did the rebarrel. Groups at 100 yards. Glenn had some time and this is a 10-shot group, and every shot was a different powder charge 3/10’s of grain...

    Barrel twist

It may be hard to tell that at 1K, as wind variability alone can move the bullet that much and more, from one shot to the next.

    Barrel twist

Over simplified, but a general rule for fast twist/long-range set-ups. Zero at 100 yards at 1/4" left of center, and that pretty much takes care of you out to a grand. An accurate app (As Mentioned) will be the most accurate.

Thank you xphunter ( Ernie )

Enjoy!!! You have the skill to be competitive, once you start playing with the bigger cartridges in the wind

    Whitetail bullet options

You have been given good advice. You have so many good options (many have not been mentioned yet), it will make your head spin. Typical distances you hunt at?

    Barrel twist

What Guy said. If you have a different range of bullets you want to use or try, get the twist rate for the longest/highest BC one you intend to use. The one that requires the fastest twist.

    The Vertical Grip Trend

I’m comfortable with a vertical to just a little bit of slant/angle if I have my preference

Getting the 7mm SAUM Ready for SA

The 7 SAUM has about the same capacity as the 7 PRCW. There is just better brass for the PRCW and the similar wildcats. As you know the 180 Hybrids pretty much reign supreme for the 1K game.

Getting the 7mm SAUM Ready for SA

I used H-4350 in the 7mm SAUM and the 160 grain LRX With my first 7 SAUM I used H-1000. H-4350 has been my go to powder for short barreled 6.5-284's since the late 90's

Getting the 7mm SAUM Ready for SA

Thanks Guys! I am very pleased. I also did some load development with my 6.5-284 rear-grip with the 142 LRAB’s. I need to redo two loads. The odd thing is is that the load between those two was not good, so I don’t know if it’s just the inconsistency of that bullet or maybe I messed something...
