"I sure would like to get 2900-2950 out of it."

I came close using 48.5 gr. RL17 with the 150 gr. Nosler Partition. Velocity 2847 FPS with an ES of 39 FPS.Three shot group with tow overlapping and the third 3/8"above the other two.No apparent pressure problems and primers still had rounded edges. Brass had been reloaded about 5 or 6 times. I do recommend working up at least two to three grains below that and working up. Rifle was a Winchester M70 Featherweight.

Thanks, kind of thinking to run the 140.
My goal over the next couple of years:
.375 - 300 gr
9.3. - 260
.35 W - 250
.338. - 225
.300H&H 200
.30/06 165
.275 140
6.5. 129
.257. 117
.243. 100
.223. 55
Tough part is I have to hunt with each one before I can get another one. I’ve missed on two different.257 Roberts lately on gunbroker. I think that will be the toughest to find. The way prices are going though I’ll probably never get it done, maybe just one more[emoji41]

The 257 Roberts is a good one. I gave my daughter a 700 Classic 257 Roberts. It shoots lights out all the way out to 600 yards with the 115 gr BT. Being a long action allows the bullets to be seated long, leaving plenty of case capacity for a stiff charge of RL22.

Mom used hers to great effect. Remington 783? Can’t recall the model number at the moment. One of my nephews has it now. I used to sneak it out of the house as often as I could in high school.
Last #1 I bid on had stalled so I was waiting until the last minute to bid, some friends dropped by and I lost track of the time. Dang it.

Miss Sugar is sure a beauty. I always favored the white colored Shorthairs when I bought or kept a pup. Seemed easier to spot them especially when locked on point in CRP or whatever wind blown crop the birds decided to hunker down in.
