I had a pretty good morning at the range with the .223 and .270 on Saturday. I actually had the .30-06 along as well which printed five shots into about an inch and a quarter. The problem was it was a six shot group and I pulled one.

Here are some pics:

Here is the .270's group:

Here's that group being shot (it was too dark for the first shot):

Not great quality, but actually better than I expected filming from 100 yds.

Here's the .223's five shot group:

I filmed that too, but the battery went dead after the third shot. The shots were not visible in the orange on film though, so it didn't matter.

Dang that's a great looking rifle - and it shoots well too. Great!

Laughing at myself - when I saw "10/22 at the range" I expected to see a range report on Ruger's little semi-auto .22 rifle. Silly me!

Yeah, I realized that after I posted it. I guess I should have went with another title.

I'm with Guy. The title made me think that Nosler was now making .22 LR ammunition. Good looking rifle, Trevor. The big bonus is that it gives you great performance. Thanks for posting.

Thanks guys.

Scotty, if I remember correctly that .358-06 you have is pretty impressive rifle as well.

It is a great shooter. Really enjoyed carrying my Whelen in elk country this year. Just really is about my favorite rifle for elk force 0-400 yards. I didn't get to smash an elk with it but I will use it some more I think. I took the 338 as back up, but my hunting partner stole that one for a few days. I carry the 7WSM one day when long shots were expected but overall the Whelen was my pick. Wished it was an M70 but I'll live! Scotty
